Sunday treat

An almond sponge base covered with garriguette strawberries and syrup made from sugar, water and a friend's Grenache sweet wine. The dessert I've made for this evening to follow roast kid from the goats' cheese producer at Mas Rolland - sorry, vegetarians, but if there weren't any kids there wouldn't be any cheese.

We had a lovely evening out - the jazz was good, although not exciting, and the three of us ate and chatted about music...and things... with a friend and jazz singer, who sang a number at the end of the evening. An excellent meal, too, with a main course of blanquette d'agneau with asparagus.
