Wednesday 27 April 2011: Bugs

Another quick lunch today left me some time to play in the grass across from my house. My good friend visualbinam is the master of macros, so I'm dedicating this one to him. :)

The flower was barely the size of a nickel. The sun was so bright, that it allowed me the smaller aperture to get more in focus than I usually manage. I was crawling all around in the grass, blackberry bushes and gorse. It was beautiful. I was actually chasing some ladybugs, but they both flew off before I could even get settled. So I just looked around for some other little creatures, and found these little flies/bees? everywhere.

Macro photography is so incredibly rewarding and peaceful.

And you have to view in large for the full effect.
