Wednesday 27 April 2011: Short.Break.Up.North.
We have spent five days relentlessly creating the new garden at the front of the house and so directly after shovelling a cubic ton of gravel, we hopped in the car for a three day break to Cartmel and beyond. Cartmel, for L'Enclume, which was a fabulous experience. Beyond, to the Lakes. And on the way back, a stop at Blackpool which was about 300 million times more depressing than it was when I went there 15 years ago. And it was bad then. Sorry Blackpool.
