Sunday 1 May 2011: Perspective

A handy picnic bench in St Mary's to stop for a wee rest and a drink whilst watching the world drift past.

Couldn't believe how busy the roads were today. I could taste the exhaust fumes, yuck....reminded me of when I used to commute by bike in Edinburgh city centre. However in Edinburgh I don't think I ever had to outrun a tractor that was trying to spray me with weedkiller.

Have to make note of the temperature... a scorching 17°. Except for where I stopped to eat a banana in the little suntrap of the bench at the foot of a war memorial, sheltered and with the benefit of stone walls to act as solar panels... it was a tropical 31°
