Thursday 19 May 2011: Keep on running........
Great day for Cross Country!! Beautiful weather, great efforts from great kids. We are so very lucky :)
During the afternoon I found myself with a student who was upset - very upset. I spent a l-o-n-g time listening and talking and it reminded me how passion about something can burn so very deep into the soul, particularly for young men and women. Whilst this student can't see it now I'm sure they will be all the stronger for having had this experience. Learning can be so very painful though.
Have finished the day with a bit of a headache which is lingering on, even now late into the evening. Bed calls.
