Its a gas! gas! gas!

I passed these old gas meters in the entrance to a mews that was originally the Grand Parade Garage, an old Brighton back street garage dating back to 1918. Although now converted to apartments and mews cottages, the original old gas meters are still in the entrance way along with the original garage tiling. (Had to shoot through the mews gate to get a decent angle).

Afterwards I noticed I was singing Jumping Jack Flash (It's a gas! gas! gas!) by the Stones. The song has arguably the best opening line in rock.

"I was born in a cross-fire hurricane"
