Saturday 11 June 2011: Equine Style
40 Clydesdale horses gathered this day at a nearby race track, after a cavalcade through the city centre and low lying suburbs, and I took my mother down to have a look. She was a champion horse woman and cattle breeder in her younger days and it was lovely to watch her getting up close and personal with these giants. I half expected her to jump up and swing a leg over a broad back and go for a ride!
I got some lovely images but particularly liked this one for its anonymity and pattern.
My hacking cough was soothed for a moment by the hot toddy I had before bed last night. I quite liked the effect and have been having one each evening pre-bedtime. Beats the usual cup of green tea!
