Monday 13 June 2011: Winter Blossoms
Typical winters day here in the deep-ish south. Biting cold wind washed down with sun strong enough to warm the marrow and encourage one out of doors.
Trip into town for an appointment, a browse in the nearby op-shop, coffee at Everyday Gourmet and home to wait for a nephew to arrive. He had a work day for school and spent the morning with his father and then came to us to mow the grass and wash the car. Lovely job done.
This image taken in a church yard where the prunus autumnalis is in its first blossoming. Such a lovely look...pink blossom on bare branches framed against a clear blue sky. Memories of spring......
