Saturday 18 June 2011: That Banner.....
I was trying to find the by-election "rooms" in Inverclyde today , but when you turn the corner into the industrial estate near Morrison's Store in Greenock, you can be no doubt as to where, and what, it is ! This must be the biggest political banner ever, in Scotland at least - congratulations to Peter Murrell and his team. It might make me reminisce about by-election rooms I have known over the past 25 years - but there isn't enough space !
The size can be measured by reference to the train passing above - more than a carriage length I reckon ! And Anne (who made a very good speech at National Council this morning) fully deserves to have a big presence in her home town !
