Icing on the cake

That's what these railings facing the sea in Le Grau d'Agde always remind me of....and especially today as it's Lo Jardinièr's birthday. He hasn't had cake, yet, but it's been a proper hot summer day for the first time this week, we've been to the sea and swum, even though the water was a bit chilly, given E a bit of Mediterranean sun and had lunch over the river in Le Grau d'Agde. Tonight the celebrations continue with a flamenco group playing in the village bar. It's also the birthday of our friend G and there'll be a table of 20 of us there tonight so quite a party.

Last year the birthday was rather lost in the sadness, which is still there of course, but life goes on too.......
