Managed to get into the garden this afternoon for a short while.

It's that time of the year when everything looks tatty and the only things that seem to survive the frosts are the weeds - who also seem to thrive on the few hours of sunshine we get.

So it felt good to get some soil under the fingernails, to share the sunshine - and to begin the systematic eradication of those very same weeds with whom I shared the sunshine!

And LB here also enjoyed some of the sunshine too from the garden bench. It's not a great photo but I really liked the rather interesting shadow that was cast on him - like he had his very own tattoo ;)
