Coneflower

I seem to be obsessed with this plant right now. It's really a structural wonder, isn't it? What is amazing is that those orange pointy things are really hard - like a piece of wood, actually. You'd think they would be soft. Anyway, still pfaffing around with my macros. Getting more terrible shots than good ones, but I guess that is the norm, isn't it? Tomorrow I am going to climb up the hill next to our house, where I've spotted the mother of all nettles ... in full bloom!!
