Rook

Took a wander around Kirkwall this evening whilst waiting for various offspring to complete various sporting activities.

At a time when most folk were engaged in eating or drinking or soap watching the sounds of the town are the domain of rooks and starlings and boy racers in their thump, thump go karts.

Thankfully if you go to the end of the grave yard behind the cathedral then all you get is the gothic sound of the rookery to complete the picture.
