Kangaroo

From one national park to the next, we left the Blue Mountains and headed south to the Murramarang National Park.

Nearly 5 hours later we arrived at Pebbly Beach which was pretty much the opposite of where we had been. Big valleys had been replaced with sandy beaches, the occasional bird replaced with an array of amazing animals - kangaroos, kookaburras, crimson rosellas, king-parrots. The kangaroos would let you pat them, and the crimson rosellas would even land on your arm if you held it out.

There's a great National Park campsite so we set up camp and headed to the beach. We swam and surfed, it was surprisingly warm, then back to camp for dinner and a (smaller than last night) fire.

Fantastic place, will be back here for sure with the family.
