Torwood

The rain this morning scuppered our original plan for today's blip walk, but after a quick catch up and a coffee at Andy's the sky brightened so we headed out en masse (me, Andy, Insto & his better half, Douglas and a number of small people of various flavours). Euan was meant to tag along with me but his feet have taken a growth spurt and we couldn't get him into suitable footwear for the mud we were likely to encounter, so he stayed at home with his hobbit feet up.

The woods up around Torwood turned out to be a bit of goldmine too. As well as the Castle here, we explored an Iron Age Broch and scratched our heads over the mysterious blue water pool (Andy, I think that must be the site of the guy you were talking about). On top of all that we managed to track down two geocaches - one pretty easily, the other one requiring all nine of us scrabbling on the forest floor to unearth it.

I did start to wilt a bit towards the end of the walk; thought I'd managed to avoid yesterday's pub crawl hangover but it seemed to have been one of those delayed reaction types that lulls you into a false sense of smugness.

Another enjoyable Sunday blip meet with a meaty source for future blips added to the blip-banks. Hopefully another one will be along soon.

Cheers all!
