Enterprise

As I continued to ask questions about daily life in Morocco, I discovered an unsettling dichotomy.

The recession means that young men can no longer marry until their mid thirties (women slightly younger), despite university educations, jobs and income are unavailable. Therefore there is a sense of political uneast.

Conversely a lot of younger muslims are joining their older relatives in rejecting the West and at the same time tourists who provide them with a living.

I as attracted to this boy and his family who were making goods out of old car tyres. Many shops carry the same goods and this was not only unique but ecologically sound as well.

He seemed to cross the barrier between old and new attitudes. I applaud his effort.
