a day in the life of Jack

Crazy weather!

Our weather here in New England has been pretty strange this year. We've had a hurricane that knocked power out for 10 days, a winter storm in October, then above normal temperatures for November & December. Today, it was close to 60 degrees, about 30 degrees warmer than usual. It was bright and sunny in the morning, although the clouds rolled in and it cooled down a bit in the afternoon.

I wanted Jack to practice bike riding. What comes pretty naturally to most kids, doesn't come naturally to Jack. He's not the strongest kid, and he really has a hard time pedaling. Before long, he is ready to give up. He gets frustrated easily and doesn't want to try. I figured I would bring him over to the new road across the street where there is no traffic and the surface is smooth. He only lasted a few minutes. I think one of the problems is the height of the seat and handle bars on his bike. They seem really low, so I want to see if raising them up gives him a bit more power.

Now we are watching 'Frosty the Snowman' and talking about Christmas being right around the corner. He is so excited about it this year...he's been counting down for weeks!!
