Sunday 29 January 2012: They call it Sanhattan

A highlight of today and of our stay in Santiago so far was a sunset bike tour with a nice company called "La Bicicleta Verde" or the Green Bicycle.

Starting in Las Condes also known as "Sanhattan" for its striking resemblance to the New York skyline we leisurely weaved our way for 3 hours through the streets, parks and rivers.

Our guide, Isabel (originally from Portugal) was just amazing and keen to share her insights and the history of this town. Towards the end of the tour we stopped off at this fountain and enjoyed the rainbow light show.

Last stop on the list was to a bar in the Belles Artes district called "The Clinic" also the name of the satirical newspaper. A truly outstanding day in my favorite South American city.
