Monday 30 January 2012: harvest

Returning back to a cyclone brewing off the Plibara coast, a bush fire raging north east of Perth and big easterly wind rattling the carport the veggie patch has survived.

Looking a tad bedraggled and wild, the crop of various heritage tomatoes has amazingly thrived, the size of some fruit staggering the lads living and visiting here.

Basil too and chillies and tonight there is a big bowl of tomatoes in the kitchen, some of which are in a pasta sauce.
