It's a van not a hut

I must confess that I sniggered a fair bit as we drove past the snack van offering Italian Home Cooking on our way to the Newcraighall Volkswagen dealers to look at cars (well, there wouldn't be any other reason to go there). But when the bairns starting complaining about being hungry and thirsty it seemed worth a look.

It's not a very promising location for Italian home cooking, on the edge of Fort Kinnaird but on the wrong side of the street. The guy was explaining he used to be in the car park across the road and was doing OK until Pizza Hut complained that he was undermining their takeaway trade so he had to move.

Things were looking up when the guy starting rolling out the pizza dough. And actually, it was surprisingly good. He's planning on getting a bigger van - he's hard pressed in the morning making meatballs, pasta sauce, pizza dough and everything else in his wee van. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Other than that it's been frustration in the garage. The front mudguard bought for the white bike doesn't fit with its current tyres. The brakes won't fit on the brown bike without buying a wee cable hanger. Grrr.
