Horizons

mmmm, not sure if this works. Was going to do a series of compass point shots but Hiraeth put the notion of a spliced horizon into my head. The horizon seemed very wide when I started to put it together and I don't know if anyone will be able to make anything out. But it was fun doing it.

If you can make it out it does give an idea of the view from our garden. Not quite 360°, the house and byres got in the way. Top one is to the North, over the Bu Sands and the Holm Sound (pronounced Ham) towards the Orkney mainland. The bottom one is to the South towards South Ronaldsay. The sea is not far over the edge of the field in front and some days if the waves are crashing on the cliffs it sounds like a train coming.
