Thursday 23 February 2012: Just stay still!
I'm resigned to not getting an absolutely clear shot of the goldcrest. He dots about in the back of the shrubbery (love that word, conjures images of Monty Python!) and moves so quickly I have discarded oodles of blurredblips of him. This is taken at the limit of my lens but it does show him doing what goldcrests do so I'm sticking with it.
Teaser update: re my odd comment the phone call came today (!!) but I'm saying nothing as I was nervous and having a cold didn't help. I will say more if/when the e-mail comes!
