House Construction--Paris: IV

When we left for our Belgium birding trip not quite two weeks ago, the second floor of the house expansion project across from our apartment was well advanced. On our return five days later, the wall facing us had been closed off, and we have not seen anyone at work--until today. This blip from the street shows them installing the third of three windows on that wall (earlier they topped off the chimney--not visible here).

The second blip in the series was also taken from the street, and the first shows them just beginning the second floor. You'll find the tagged series of four here.

It's been fun following this rather artisanal construction project--of a kind that I suspect is not very common in Paris, since most buildings are much larger. I will likely post a fifth and final blip from our apartment when the exterior is more or less complete.

The year-ago blip--a huge "lego map" of our part of Paris!
