March Moon

For the first time in four months we had a clear morning close to the full moon. Today it was setting over foothills. I have missed its progress along the mountains due to low clouds.

Out of the shots I took I liked this one best because of the almost abstract simplicity, and the reddening of the hilltops by the rising sun. The dark hill is covered with a pine forest.

Last time over the mountains

After a light frost this has been a rare bright sunny day. I have been working in the greenhouse, pulling out plants that are doing poorly, and putting in new ones that I hope will provide food before winter. I'm still having to eat the hail-shredded greens in an exposed plot.
