Friday 9 March 2012: 'The Goodliest Vista'
Tony and I took a walk on the Malvern Ridge today, fantastic! On the way out of the carpark to head up to the Iron Age hillfort called British Camp we read an inscription which quoted John Evelyn, the diarist, as writing that the Malvern Hills offered the Goodliest Vistas - nice one John!
This blip is taken from the ridge looking back at British Camp. We walked as far as the Worcestershire Beacon with terrific views on each side all the way. Good day! Tomorrow it is the Malvern Street Race!
Better viewed in LARGE.
