Draped Light.

A brilliant sunny day here....so after preparing 2 cabins for incoming guests....which means i put on my molly maid hat, lots of cleaning and making of beds, i took myself off to Baddeck for lunch. The light coming thro these lacy curtains caught my eye......the salad was pretty good too!

Then a visit to the library and a lovely chat with Kate! my god her life is so full! Not only is their very large dog (one of 5 that live in their house) due to have puppies any day now, but they have 4 one week old lambs living in their kitchen, both mothers died right after birthing!!!! and all that on top of 3 children and 3-4 cats...and of course dad (who is the main farmer!). Poor Brooke (dad!) is basically a nursing mother right now and having to bottle feed 4 tiny wee babies every 2-3 hours!!! and i thought it was busy around here! ha!

Now it's almost time to prepare dinner and have a glass of wine!!

a very good day indeed! full of gratitude for all that i have to be happy about. also bumped into a friend who is very sick.....so all and all my life is pretty wonderful and i recognise how quickly all that can change!
