whole grain basil bread

busy day today. woke up too late after an extensive night last night - block party over at brian and leah's with michael and others. ended up upstairs as always at their place drinking from the bottle, getting hardwood floor burn (me only), and making inappropriate jokes.

the amazing part is my total for the night was only 3/4 of a beer, a shot of rum, and a shot of jack daniels, over the course of 4 hours or so. i have a great deal of fun around other people who have drank a lot while being myself quite sober. if i actually drink a lot i think i have less fun, in fact.

anyway, in bed by 1a but that didn't prevent me missing 8a yoga...and then 10a yoga too! so i ran 5 miles instead. hot and humid and dear god, is it summer here already?

so much to do today to wrap everything up this weekend and i was just slogging. made this great bread and some lemon risotto for lunches this week, though i will be in dallas monday night through wednesday night as i am sitting on an interview board for the scholarship i got for my undergraduate degree. should be a fun time and good blips no doubt.

anyway, finally decided to go on night riders tonight against my better judgment, and it was a good decision as i have still managed to get most everything done.
