Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

At the Ballet

This afternoon we took Granddaughter Tatum ( blipper hihowareyaspray) and her Mom (for Mom's birthday present) to the Pacific Northwest Ballet's performance of Apollo and Carmina Burana. Peter Boal, the artistic director of PNB, performed Balanchine's Apollo over 100 times in the 22 years he was with the NYC Ballet so staging this production was a natural. It was totally gorgeous! Photographs of it are exquisite. Of course Carmina Burana is always dramatic, all the more so with the dancers...the Seattle Chorus and the music was superb. Tatum is almost ready to take ballet lessons.

We spent some time by the fountain in the sun afterwards- T got totally soaked!
