Monday 16 April 2012: Blue hairstreak
Once again I wandered upstream in the hope of capturing the blue hairstreak that I posted a side view of the other day. The sun was out and it was after 10am so I was in with a fair chance. I had just about given up and was on my way back to the bike, with a few dragon shots in the can, when she appeared.
I spent about fifteen minutes collecting various shots, thinking that I was only going to manage a blurry flash of blue to put in folio, when she landed right in front of me, in a shaft of light and parted them for me, such a tease! What a glorious color and well worth the effort I think. I am sure you will enjoy this one.
