The Edge of the Wold

Walking on stars

There was a time when I used to occasionally think perhaps I should make an effort to reduce the number of dandelions that are growing in our lawn. But then Reg the Tortoise arrived and now we have good reason to keep them, as he just loves their leaves. The little fly appeared just as I was lining up this shot of a dandelion clock.

This afternoon we spent some time down at the new allotment. The soil is in much better shape than I expected, whoever had it last clearly put a lot of effort into preparing the beds, and though it is now a bit neglected, it was simple to dig out the deep tap roots of the docks. So good progess was made in a short time, and now we are planning what we shall grow and thinking we may be able to get most, if not all, of it into production this year.

THE FLY IS GOOD IN LARGE.
