His Story

I present to you His Lordship's Magnus Opus, 'My Story', straight from the publishing house and an obvious addition to the longlist for this year's Booker Prize.

It is an autobiographical work covering his life from the stone age to the present day. He will of course be hoping to update the work every five years until he is toothless and dribbling and no longer compos mentis.

With a limited first printing, and expecting a rush of admirers to get signed copies, he suggests you all form an orderly queue outside his Door on Thursday at 10:30, when  he will be happy to open it and invite you into his inner sanctum.

For these of you too ready to do the arithmetic, yes, he is rather long in the tooth.
I would like you to know that I am much shorter of tooth, a veritable child bride, you could say ;)

The expression 'It's turned out nice again' applies to the weather today when all we expected from the forecast map was a sea of blue. The sun is desperately trying appear less watery, but it is still very chilly.
We went out specifically to get rice cakes and came home with two bags of shopping and no rice cakes.
Perhaps I'm not so short in the tooth as I'd have you believe.
