Monday 14 May 2012: Ghost Train
The train was delayed today as the doors wouldn't close at Basingstoke.
We sat there while they tried to close the doors. Several times the doors went beep, beep, beep, followed by a loud bang.
Each time just as the doors were closing someone else would jump on, so the doors would then automatically open again.
Eventually the door that was causing the problem was manually locked. so that we could leave.
The photo is the reflection of the people on our train, reflected in the moving train next to us.
Arrived in London 15 minutes late and spent the rest of the day trying to make up the time
