Saturday 19 May 2012: Homage to Thuja plicata

To remember the Western red cedar tree that we cut early this spring, friend D and I constructed this archway of it's branches - I can see some more artworks hanging from it after the kids are here. It will be a nice little grotto for tea and sandwiches. The crystal globe glows at night, and I think a "floor" of mosaic cement and tiles might be in order.

Missed the catch of the tiny geese today, but I think they are still around (as are the eagles)...will try again tomorrow..

Hiho, what do you think?
