BethaBlip 98...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

We've been waiting for literally about a year and and a half.  It's certainly been at least three six monthly dentist visits which would be about right.  Bethany has had a tooth loose for that long but it's been hanging about whilst the new tooth has started growing behind it.  She had a bit of a double row of tooth thing going on and each subsequent visit to the dentist yielded nothing more than, "It'll come out eventually."  We actually did have a wee wager on with her regarding the tooth.  She wants her ears pierced so we reckoned she should pull the hanging tooth out to prove she could take the pain of getting ears pierced.  The wager is now nullified.
We were at a friends birthday the other week, where a bouncy castle was provided.  The kids found an alternative use for it in that they would turn the air pump off, go sit of the walls and then turn the pump back on.  What could possibly go wrong?  Well Bethany was sitting on said wall and fell out of the thing, knocked her head and her shoulder.  Taking her to A&E, they put her in a sling that was to be used for two weeks.  I think she lasted about 2 days maximum and certainly didn't see school in it.  I don't actually think she hurt it that bad.
She had a kitchen success in one of her forays.  Rice balls.  She was cooking up rice and didn't know what do with it.  She'd already made up a passatta and cream sauce so I showed her how to ball the rice  with two spoons.  I think there is a fancier name for the process, but it turned out quite nice with her sauce over them.
We also had the Brownie badge dinner party.  I think the badge was the hostess badge or something.  She and her friend made up a menu and sent out party invites for the four of them.  She did up party bags, starters (Rice Balls), mains (pizza) and desserts (ice cream sundaes).
