BLIP MEET ON A GRAND SCALE....

... what a fantastic day!

Chantler63 from UK has been in Sydney for a couple of days on her way to catch up with family in Melbourne (Australia).

She had arranged with Hobbs's Run to do a Blip meet today. So in his normal style rallied the "Blip Central Southern Hemisphere" Blackheath team (of which I am lucky enough to be a member) together. Due to another slight travel delay, I pick Chantler63 up from Penrith rail station and we set off for Blackheath. 

As well as Hobbs and wife Norma, we met with Jolang  and isbi, 59 and her husband, and Trish for a coffee and introduction of Chantler63.

Then Hobbs, Chantler63 and I set off for the tour around the magnificent Blue Mountains. Although not such a good day, at least the rain held off  until late this afternoon we called by to have Chantler63 meet with Walking Wombat and CCN. Just as we arrived the skies literally "fell in" so took a shine off the sighting of WW's gang gang's.

Late this afternoon I dropped Chantler 63 off onto the train for her trip back into Sydney. 

Man, what a super day, and if you want have a look at some other shots on FLICKR - in particular check the last one to show how heavy the rain came down.

I liked this one today as it gives an idea of the crowds that get to the Mountains (most days) and this girl took it all in her stride tasking it easy reading a book on her kindle!!!
