Thursday 24 May 2012: Nor'wester Sunset
A warm nor'wester gave us a lovely mild day with dry conditions, and a wonderful sky of multi-layered clouds. The sunset lasted almost an hour as the different levels took their turns at catching the light. This shot was taken late in the process. The young moon was aiming for the mountains, and Venus dipped behind the Rubicon Peak as I watched.
I cleared part of the greenhouse, removing frost bitten marigolds (Tagetes), and a bucketful of twitch roots, in preparation to planting winter greens I bought yesterday.
