Sparrow-grass again

Worked at home all day apart from a lunchtime trip up to the top of the Walk to buy some supplies. What a splendid shop that Tattie Shaw's is! And what a beautiful day; but unfortunately the unaccustomed warmth and bright sunlight seem to have brought out astonishing displays of pasty white/sunburned flesh and rolls of fat clad in the most inappropriate garments imaginable. I couldn't bring myself to take any photos.

Hence we have here a desparation blip of some lovely asparagus that we had with our tea, along with the last of the Jersey Royals. (I find that I've done this before, but I notice that the season is later this year.)
