Sam and Sands came in from North Berwick and we went up to the Dean Gardens for a quick tour. There was a short but intense downpour which didn't dampen our spirits but meant that our coats took a couple of hours to dry off. After a brunch in Stockbridge and a quick rifle through the market we went up to the Cask and Barrell, where we were eventually joined by CanCarrier , MinBannister, and . Much blether ensued - it was very enjoyable. The others left before the football kicked off, but we stayed on with Shandonner to watch the Scottish goal-fest (!) We stumbled off home for some fish and chips to appropriately end our day of debauchery.

The photo shows our visitors who were taking temporary shelter in the Dean Gardens bothy - Sands probably saying something like "Even the back of my neck is wet" and Sam replying "This is so much nicer than 40 degrees of heat in Arizona"!  I have no idea what the bucket of flowers said.
