Bents Lane

Yes I know I'm always banging on about Bents Lane, but this morning when I turned right on to it from the main road on my bike I thought what a lovely start to the day I was enjoying!  The woodpecker was at work in the tree just beyond the junction and the early morning glow cast shadows from the wall across the lane.  The daffodils are sadly on their way out but other bits of colour are appearing and the fields are greening up nicely.  No sign of the hares yet sadly but I live in hope.  Passing the first farm a wagtail skipped along the wall in front of me as once more I had the whole lane to myself.
