Saturday 2 June 2012: Motoring Classicly

Taking advantage of the last classic car day we had a trundle around the Borders, passing a classic car rally coming the other way, exchanging waves with most of the participants. For a wee while it was like we were one of their club and reinforces the desire to get one of these of my own.

The evening was meeting with friends to go and see Prometheus. A rather disappointingly predictable affair, with some bits of clunky dialogue thrown into the mix, geographical inaccuracies, and running away from things in the wrong direction. Stick to the first two Alien movies and you can't go wrong really... More fun was properly catching up afterwards in a nearby pub, though by after midnight, given I was driving and so on the Coke, I was getting a bit shattered after offering a lift to a member of the band, not realising how much wine was still in the glass!
