Monday 4 June 2012: A little touch of patriotism

This old badge was sent to me a few years ago - it seemed appropriate to bring it out today after watching the goings-on on the Thames of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

I'm not sure of the history of the badge but it could very well be one that was made especially for the Queen's coronation very nearly 60 years ago.

Made me feel quite patriotic :) And all on the day we have off as a celebration of the Queen's birthday. How utterly fitting!
