Before and after...decking removal

Our decking has steadily  rotted away over the last few years. It gets limited sunshine and is a bit of a maintenance nightmare! we planned to:

a. replace it all with new decking (understanding that the frame beneath      needs replacing too, it is so soggy) 
b. replace it all with paving/tiles pf some sort (always allowing for the               ground beneath to be suitably supportive). 

It appears that option b. can be done - but will be costly... hmm decisions decisions...

Top photo was taken before I trotted off to school this morning early because the whole school photo was being done - the one where kids balance precariously on a set of metal steps.  I returned after my day's teaching (and dinner duty - again, huff, huff...) to have state of play for bottom picture. 

This is as far as day one has taken us - with damp areas on the walls being air bricked and rendered too.
Myki is loving it - constantly roaming about the site with the men!
