Tuesday 5 June 2012: Laurier-rose

The oleanders are just starting to flower. I love these shrubs -- they look so delicate, yet are amazingly robust. We have a hedge of them in our garden which gets zero attention. They are in full sun and are never watered, yet they always look healthy. And in February they happily withstood the big freeze without suffering any apparent damage.

Note: this is straight out of the camera, shot in RAW, saved as JPEG.

The veggie garden is doing well -- we already have a couple of tiny tomatoes, and while it won't win prizes on the aesthetics front, everything looks healthy.
