Wednesday 6 June 2012: Truck rush
What a crazy day!
The storm that was forecast arrived overnight - rain, rain and a bit of wind. By 10.00am the wind was beginning to pick up and the rain was getting harder. Within an hour the wind was gusting so hard that people were looking very wobbly and unsure on their feet. The temperature dropped and things looked pretty dire for an hour or three.
Still, given that Canterbury and other parts of the South Island have had up to 50cm of snow maybe we got off light.
No 'real' picture today - the cold and dark nights are my excuse! Off to bed early. G'night.
