Holy island

Our friends from Sheffield came to visit us and we drove into Northumberland and across the causeway to Holy island. The access is tidal so once we were across, the sea rapidly covered the road giving us 5 hours to explore the island before we could leave again.
This is the beautiful Lindisfarne. Later there was thunder and lightning so we retreated to the pub for a while before exploring further. Such a lovely trip :)
