Lokomo exhibition

Today me and my brother took our father to an exhibition of Lokomo. I had noticed the exhibition for a month ago, but had not time to take him there only until now as it is open only three days in a week...

It was a shivering experience for dad. In his youth as a diploma enigeer he was making as a desinger this Lokkeri logger seen in the capture in the "table book". After that he had a long career in different tasks. Now retired several years already.

After the exhibition we offered him a steak meal. Something extra today :)

The factory Lokomo was founded 1915 and is a Finnish steel manufacturer of railroad equipment and steam locomotives, situated in Tampere, Finland. The Lokomo factories in Tampere produced also (at the time topsecret) the MIR submersibles for the Soviet Academy of Sciences. Also they produced machinery for logging, cutting down the trees and big parts to vessels ans ships etc. Today, after many phases, the company is merged into Metso Corporation and is now funtioning by name Metso Lokomo Steels Oy.
