"Mimulus" the Monkey Flower

A couple of years ago I grew some Monkey Flowers in containers on the patio ... Then after they'd died away at the end of the season, I sort of forgot all about them ...

A couple of days ago I noticed an unusual weed in one of my small pots ... I nearly just pulled it up, but decided to leave it there out of curiosity ...

Here is my proof that curiosity doesn't always kill cats ... In fact, in this case, "curiosity saved the monkey" ... :o)
