Wednesday 13 June 2012: Retirement Celebration Continues!!!
I was treated by blipper Nanna K here to a delightful lunch at SAM's (Seattle Art Museum's Tasty Restaurant) and to the Aboriginal show that is there now from Australia. She also surprised me with a very cute pop up flower card she had made, a wee school bus and a wonderful colorful garden patio stone saying flower that she had also made!!! I hadn't realized this would turn into a retirement extension so WOO HOO!!!
Here you see K as the centerfold, pop up card in the lower left, the patio stone in the upper right and the other two corners versions of the little bus taking off...the yellow signifies all those driving years and the pink one driving off into the fun piggy retirement years! The patio stone has some of my garden pansies surrounding it because I also wanted to include a memory of my mom in this blip....she would have been 94 today! (passed away in 2001). Pansies were her favorites. The blip background is from a post card depicting a painting called Bush Hen Dreaming. Stripes by K of course and appropriately swirling all around her here. link to SAM show
Thanks for a VERY special day!!!! xoC
