Chez Tade Carthy's

What a day! An assemblage of blippers gathered down by our pond for a delightful lunch al fresco. It was seriously warm and the theme was Greek. Thus fuelled we then ventured out to the north side to do the coppermines walk. No sooner had we arrived than we spotted a large pod of dolphins larking around in Bantry Bay way below us. What a fabulous walk. The weather was perfect, we could see for miles, and the company most genial.  Here we are taking a wee rest outside Tade Carthy's cottage, recently restored. Shaaamie, Ali, Himself and Michael . Having clambered over bogs, teetered on the edge of sheer drops and peered down blowholes, we ended up in the seaside garden of Arundel's pub where Zillah was waiting for us. Angelssharewas at the next table (she was there last night too !). The view was astonishing - the sea like mercury and the reflections mesmorising. Really we could have spent the rest of the evening here just watching the world go by, chatting away, enjoying the odd pint and munching on Tayto crisps. A lovely day.
