I add this to the MonoMonday (Contrasts)
Yesterday my blip was taken from the Isle of May towards East Lothian with its two volcanic cones of North Berwick Law and Bass Rock just visible in the southwest.  Today’s photo was taken in the opposite direction from near the conical peak of North Berwick Law (extra) looking northeast towards the Isle of May almost 16 km away, and to the nearer guano covered Bass Rock and its lighthouse only 4 kms away.

Contrasts between the island yesterday and North Berwick today.
Yesterday around the island the sea was very rough, today it was fairly calm.
Yesterday on the island the wind was strong and cold, today there was only a slight breeze.
Yesterday on the island people wore thick jackets, today t-shirts.
Yesterday on the island sea birds were dominant, today there were also many land birds.
Yesterday on the island there were no permanent inhabitants, today 100s live nearby.
Yesterday it was obvious that life on the island was weather dependent, today barely so.
Yesterday on the island there were no shops or cafes, today there were.
Yesterday on the island there was no mobile phone coverage, today there was.

I think the contrast between the mono and coloured (extra) show the advantage of colour.
